HOW OLD DO I NEED TO BE TO RENT A BIKE?
You have to be an adult (18+), and if you are not, you must have a parent or legal guardian present and must give permission for you to ride by signing the “Release, Waiver, and Liability Agreement”. This is standard paperwork that is filled out by every one of our riders.
WHAT IS “RELEASE, WAIVER, AND LIABILITY AGREEMENT” ABOUT?
In simple words, Pula Bike is NOT responsible under any circumstances for accidents or damage caused to the renter or for accidents or damage which the renter causes to any third party or for cases of liability.
The renter should have coverage through his own accident and liability insurance.

WHERE IS YOUR RENTAL SHOP?
We DON’T operate from a rental shop!
We are a small local MOBILE bike rental and tours operator with FREE* bike delivery at desired locations in Pula and Istria region.
HOW DOES YOUR DELIVERY SERVICE WORK?
For the reservations within 24 hours, we deliver the bikes to the address where you’re staying or at the desired location according to the scheduled time.
For urgent requests – last-minute calls, we deliver bikes within 1 HOUR depending on the delivery zone and traffic jams.
We offer delivery service in the whole Istria region divided into 7 zones:
- FREE 1st Zone (5 km)
- 18€ 2nd Zone (10 km)
- 40€ 3rd Zone (30 km)
- 80€ 4th Zone (50 km)
- 110€ 5th Zone (80 km)
- 150€ 6th Zone (100 km)
- 220€ 7th Zone (120 km)
*Distance is calculated from the Arena Pula.
HOW I CAN ORDER THE BIKES?
It’s easy, for the reservations within 24 hours, you can send us an inquiry using our Rental inquiry form or can be made directly to our E-mail. We will get back to you within 24 hours!
For urgent requests please call us and provide us all the requested information.
WHAT DO I HAVE TO BRING ON DELIVERY?
You should bring with you a valid document (ID, driver’s license, or passport) for the Rental Agreement signing process, cash, and a smile.
DO I HAVE TO LEAVE A DEPOSIT?
To rent a bicycle or equipment, PulaBike requires a security deposit of a full bicycle cost. The security deposit is ONLY REQUIRED for a longer period rental and/or large (8+) number of rented bicycles and/or according to pre-agreed terms in accordance with the offer or Pro-forma invoice.
We are not allowed to take your document as a deposit!
WHAT IS RENTAL AGREEMENT ABOUT?
After signing in, You accept FULL responsibility for rented equipment (bikes and accessories) and agree to pay for any damage or loss.

DO I NEED BOOK THE BIKE?
To guarantee your bike we recommend that you make a reservation in advance.
To book your bike please contact us to discuss your requirements and we will give you the best quote and help you with any advice that you need.
WHEN AND HOW DO I NEED PAY FOR THE BIKE?
The full rental amount has to be paid in cash upon bike delivery. We do not accept debit/credit cards.
For booking, we kindly ask you to pay in advance 100% of the Pro-forma Invoice amount to our bank account.
DO YOU HAVE CANCELLATION POLICY?
Yes, we have. Bike rental cancellations are subject to a cancellation charge which varies depending on the amount of notice given to us before the rental date.
- Cancellations within 5 days of the date you are due to rent a bike, you will be charged the full hire cost, and no money will be refunded.
- Cancellations between 2 weeks and 5 days that you wish to cancel, there will be an 80% cancellation charge deducted from your refund.
- Cancellations between 2 to 4 weeks that you wish to cancel, there will be a 70% cancellation charge deducted from your refund.
- Cancellations between 1 month to 6 months that you wish to cancel, there will be a 60% cancellation charge deducted from your refund.
- Cancellations made more than 6 months (180 days) before the date of booked bicycles, there will be a 50% cancellation charge deducted from your refund and will incur a 5 € admin fee per person/bike per booking.
Cancellations must be received in writing or via confirmed E-mail or fax.
DO YOU OFFER DISCOUNTS?
Yes, in high season (01.06. – 30.09.) we offer discounts UP to 35% OFF on bike rentals:
- 15% OFF for 8+ bikes rental
- 25% OFF for 8+ days rental
- 35% OFF for 15+ days rental
*NO cumulative discounts
In pre & post season you can get UP to 50% OFF on bike rentals.
For bigger groups bigger discount!
HOW CAN I EXTEND THE RENTAL PERIOD?
Let us know in time and keep cycling! You pay for extra days on return, so you can keep the bike until you are done with it.
By the way: long-period renters get a better rate.
WHAT TO DO IF I GET A FLAT TIRE?
We are very sorry when this happens. It does occasionally happen and it’s something out of our control. We provide for FREE a puncture repair kit and mini air pump with 3+ days rentals, otherwise, you can rent it for 5€ per day and if you know how to fix a flat tire you can continue your trip.
If you don’t know how to handle the situation – contact us, we will come as soon as possible and fix it, you will be charged for the repair and assistance, all according our PBA service (PulaBike Assist), terms, and pricelist.
Please, don’t ride on a flat tire – this damages the wheel. If you ride on a flat tire, you may have to pay for a wheel repair or a new wheel.
WHAT IF THE BIKE BREAKS WHILE I HAVE IT?
Please CHECK you’re happy with your bike before you take it. Occasionally problems do happen with bicycles while they are out on rental. If happen contact our mobile workshop for a solution (+385977378077), we will come as soon as possible and fix it or replace the bike.
If we find that it has been damaged by reckless use/ theft or the like, you may be charged for the repair and assistance, as per our Rental agreement conditions. This is a rare occurrence, but important to mention.
DO YOU FIX THE BIKES?
Yes, we do have a mobile repair station, with great tools, mechanics and a range of products and services. Just contact us in advance to check the availability and prices.
WHAT IF A BIKE GETS STOLEN?
If your rental bike gets stolen or you lose bike accessories, such as the lock, key of the lock or the repair kit, you are responsible and liable for the loss, as per our Rental agreement conditions.
If a bike gets stolen you have to inform us immediately and if you have insurance at home which may pay for the stolen bike you will have to ask for a police report at the local police station. (https://istarska-policija.gov.hr/kontakti/21799)
Pula Bike will charge for a stolen bike as follows:
Basic mtb = 250€ / Standard mtb = 350€ / Advanced mtb = 550€
Trekking City bike = 300€ / Gravel bike = 800€ / Kid bike = 200€
For missing bike accessories, we charge the retail value of the accessories.
ARE RENTED BIKES INSURED AGAINST THEFT?
No, when you rent a bike you are liable for theft and if you lose a bike, you have to pay for it. The risk of theft is small when you use the locks the way we will instruct you. Bike theft is not a common situation at Pula Bike but you always have to be conscious and responsible.
WHAT ABOUT LOCKING MY BIKE?
We provide locks FREE of charge with every bike rental. When you lock your bike properly it is very unlikely it will get stolen.
WHAT IF I’M UNHAPPY WITH YOUR SERVICE?
We are not doing you a favor by serving you. You are doing us a favor by giving us an opportunity to do so. Your happiness is our top priority and if we fail, please – let us know, and we would like to help resolve this as soon as we can.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN REPAIR KIT?
The repair kit includes a 1 puncture kit with glue and few patches, 2 tire levers, 1 mini pump, 1 basic tool kit 6in1, 1 pair of latex gloves, and small rag.
